How to Measure

 

How to measure a correct size is very important, now please find out the following measuring guide. We strongly recommend that you have your measurements taken by a professional before buying any gown online. Please follow the measurement instructions, and measure yourself carefully. 

Full bust: Not your bra size! Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust. Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides. You must wear a bra when taking this measurement.

 

Waist: This is the smallest part of your waist. Typically it's an inch or so above your belly button. Also known as the natural waistline.

 

Hips: This is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone. Measurement is taken approximately 7 inches below the natural waistline. This measurement is not needed for full gowns. 

 

Upper bust: Measure around the highest part of your chest directly under the arms.Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides.

 

Under bust: Measure immediately underneath the breasts (around the chest).

 

Nipple to Nipple: Bust point to bust point, this is the distance between your two nipples. 

 

Length of shoulder to bust: From the top of your shoulder down to bust point (nipple).

 

Front length shoulder to waist: Measure from top of shoulder OVER your bust straight down to the your waist.

 

Outer leg: Measure from your natural waist to where you want the hem to be. Be sure you're wearing the same height heel you'll wear on your wedding day.

 

Arm girth: This measurement is the size of the sleeve hole that you are comfortable wearing. It is entirely subjective and you can make it as deep or as tight as you are comfortable with.

 

Shoulder to shoulder: Only needed for dress with sleeves. This is the width of your shoulder. Measure all the way over to the same point on the other shoulder along the back.

 

Neck: Around neck loosely. You will not need this one unless your garment has a high neck and/or collar.

 

Arm length: Shoulder point to wrist arm bent.

 

Bicep: Around arm at fullest part of upper arm.

 

Upper arm length: Measure from outer shoulder down to elbow.

 

Length of armpit to elbow: Measured from armpit ot elbow.

 

Hollow to hem: Start the tape at the hollow at the base of your neck and measure down to where you want the hem. You should stand upright and your feet should keep together. Also, be sure you're wearing the same height heel you'll wear on your wedding day.

 

Height: This is the length from your head to your heels. You should stand upright and your feet should keep together, let the tape from your front and drop naturally. Also, be sure you're wearing the same height heel you'll wear on your wedding day.
